SevenTales is built by a three-person studio in Ghent. We turn real places into stories guests can play. This page is the record of who we are and why we build it.
Every place has one story worth telling, and every guest deserves to hear it their way.
A letter from the founders
When we started SevenTales in 2025, it began with a simple observation: the places we love most still tell their stories the way they did thirty years ago.
We kept seeing it. Museums with astonishing collections and forgettable audio tours. Parks where the best stories hang laminated on a pole. Families splitting up because the tour fits the parents but not the children. And the people who know these places best had no accessible way to build something better.
We knew there had to be a better way: one story per place, built together with the people who know it, playable from a QR code in the browser, and retold for every guest who shows up, in their language, at their level.
We build this out of Ghent as OpStudio, with the support of Start it @KBC, the largest startup accelerator in Belgium. The program gave the idea room to grow up, and a community that took it seriously before we had much to show.

What we believe

Creator first
The people who know a place best should be able to build its story. We give them honest tools, fair terms, and reporting that tells the truth.

One story, every guest
A story should meet its guest: children, experts, easy language, other languages. Retelling is a first-class feature, not an afterthought.

Privacy by default
Guests play without an account, data stays in the EU, and we collect the little we need to run the story. GDPR is our starting point, not a checkbox.

Culture, kept alive in play
Museums, towns and heritage sites carry stories worth keeping. We help those stories survive by making them worth walking.
